Greyhound ecard

£2.00

A virtual greetings card with an original design commissioned specially for Animal Concern by British artist Anna Cumming. This Greyhound design symbolises Animal Concern’s campaigning to phase out greyhound racing in Scotland. In coalition with 8 other animal welfare organisations, we are calling on the Scottish Government to close the last remaining flapper track in Scotland and prohibit the opening of any others in the future on the grounds of inherent risk to dog welfare. Originally petitioned by Scotland Against Greyhound Exploitation (SAGE), with the most signed petition in Scottish parliamentary history, followed by a letter signed by more than 22.5k people, culminating in a bill proposal from Mark Ruskell MSP to ban the ‘sport’, we hope that these gentle dogs will only ever run for pleasure, not profit.

This image is modelled on Sylvie, rescued ex-racing greyhound of Animal Concern staff member, Elena. You can read her story here.
